ADI/PDI Training

When ringing around other companies, make sure that your entire instructor training is going to be done on a one-to-one basis and not with 2 or 3 other trainees in the car at the same time. We offer one-to-one tuition only and do not teach two or more trainees at the same time. This means you get full value for money as well proper, effective instructor. In addition we are ORDIT registered which is the highest qualification for instructor training from the Driving Standards Agency.

To qualify to be a driving instructor, you need to have a full UK driving licence for three and a half years and it should be free of penalty. If you do have points on your licence it does not necessarily exclude you from making an application. Others in the past have had application accepted even though they had penalty points on their licence.

We offer a package price for the full course or the option to train on a pay-as-you-go basis for 1-2-3. For more information, see overleaf.

EAST LONDON DRIVING SCHOOL came highly recommended by a friend and having passed my test first time I can't thank him enough. The lessons were relaxed and enjoyable and ali had some great advice to help me get through the trickier parts. Thanks again

How it's done

The training is done in three distinct phases so the cost can be spread over the training period.

First Part

The first is the Theory. We provide all the books required plus theory test tuition in our Office. This includes hazard perception training and a mock test for the multiple choice questions.

Second Part

The second part is the driving Ability. It includes 20 hours tuition plus the car for the day of test and reading materials. This is strictly on a one-to-one basis.

Final Part

The third and final part is the Teaching Ability. Before a PDI certificate is issued, 40 hours tuition is required which will allow you to teach and earn. Therefore this part of the course must be paid as the tuition is given. It can be paid in one payment or in 4 instalments of £293.75 as the training progresses. Alternatively, pay-as-you-go training can be arranged. The full cost of this part is £1,175.00 this includes all essential materials to develop your skills for the final test. Also we will provide you with extra 5 hours lessons if unsuccessfull on 1st attempt.
